These products are are underwritten by ACE European Group Limited.

Authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority, registration number FRN202803

Schoolsguard & Homeguard

These products are underwritten by a range of insurers. A full list is available upon request.

Which Service will we provide you with?

Student Studyguard & Feeguard
For these products you will not receive advice or recommendation of us.  You must make your own choice as to whether the cover is suitable for you.

Schoolsguard & Homeguard
For these products we will advise and make a recommendation for you after we have assessed your needs.

What will you pay for our services?

Student Studyguard & Feeguard

We do not charge you for arranging insurance using this website as we receive renumeration from the insurers which forms part of the policy premium.
Schoolsguard & Homeguard

For these products we generally we receive renumeration from insurers in the form of commission which forms part of the policy premium.  We do not usually therefore charge for our services, including claims handling, other than the following administration fees:-

Personal Insurance

New Business & renewals up to £150     £10

New Business & renewals over £150      £15
Mid term adjustments and replacement certificates     £10

 

Commercial Insurance (policy premium above £2,500 )

New Business and renewals exclusive of Insurance Premium Tax:

Up to £250     £10

£250 to £1,000   £10 

£1,000 to £2,500    £10  

Over £2,5000    £10

Mid term adjustments and replacement certificates     £10

 

What are our payment terms?

For Student Studyguard & Feeguard insurance arranged via our website, payment is required in full before the certificate of insurance is issued.  We do not make any additional charge for payment by credit card.

 

For Schoolsguard & HomeguardPayment of premiums should be made within 14 days form the date of our invoice.  Payment can be made by cheque, cash or by credit or debit card (there is a charge of 1.5% for payment by credit card).  You may be able to spread your payments through the Insurers' instalment schemes or a credit scheme, which we have arranged via a third part finance provider.  We will give you full information about your payment options and details of interest payable when we discuss your insurance in detail with you.

 

We are licenced under the Consumer Credit Act and our Licence Number is 456721.

                           

Who Regulates us?

Gibbs Denley Insurance Services, Crystal House, Buckingway Business Park, Swavesey, Cambridge CB4 5UL is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

Our permitted business is arranging general insurance contracts.  You can check this on the Financial Services Authority website,  www.fsa.gov.uk/register or by phoning the FSA on 0845 606 1234.

What to do if you have a complaint?

If Group turnover is less than £1m, contact the Financial Obudsman Service, as above.  If Group turnover is greater than £1m and the complaint remains unresolved you can seek legal advice.

 

Are we covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme?
We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).  You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we can not meet our obligations.  This depends on the type of business and circumstances of the claim.

Insurance advising and arranging is covered for 90% of the remainder of the claim, without any upper limit. For compulsory classes of insurance 100% of the claim is covered without any upper limit. Further information about compensation arrangements is available for the FCSC.

Your right to cancel Student Studyguard or Feeguard policy

If you are not satisfied with a Policy we will cancel it and refund any premiums you have paid. We will do this, providing you ask us to cancel a Policy within 14 days of purchase, without using the cover / making a claim - and agree that the cancellation will mean that no cover under the Policy ever existed.


Updates or changes to our Terms & Conditions

All of our Terms and Conditions are routinely reviewed and updated to ensure that they reflect the latest situation with regard to technology and data protection. In many cases, updates will reflect changes to improve the way your privacy and security are protected.
